PROCESS R&D – GOA
Unichem‘s Generic R&D is completely backward integrated till the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and Regulatory Starting Materials. The PR&D develops non-infringing, novel and economical chemical processes for peptides, APIs and intermediates. It develops processes for advance intermediates for NCEs and conducts NCE research for select pharmacological targets. The APIs developed are mainly used for in-house formulation development. Some of the APIs may be offered to the major generic players in international markets or to strategic business partners of Unichem
FORMULATION R&D – GOA
The Formulation R&D facility aims at:
- Developing formulations so that products can be sold in regulated markets (USA,Canada Europe, Europe and Brazil) as well as Pharma-emerging markets
- Selective contract formulation development for generic companies to tap regulated markets
- Contract formulation development for NCE with multinational pharmaceutical research companies for regulated markets
BIOTECHNOLOGY R&D – GOA
Unichem is having has set up a Biotechnology R&D centre with pilot plant facilities at Goa.
